May 21 & 22 Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too (BB&HRT) cruises back to The AMP for a spring event in addition to the fall festival this year. The Georgia Satellites and Blue Oyster Cult on stage will guarantee hot music for this cool weekend.

The success of BB&HRT in the fall last season demonstrated how much folks love good music, good bikes, good cars and good food. Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too is a sanctioned Bikes, Blues & Barbeque event and we look forward to two days of music, bikes, cars and food.

The AMP and Pig Trail Harley Davidson are partnering for this new two day festival in the spring. “We have scheduled the majority of these activities for FREE,” said Dan Allen, BB&HRT promoter. Brian Crowne continued, “It is important to everyone involved in this festival that our patrons have the best experience possible. That’s why we’re having two days of activities and vendors available at two locations.” Pig Trail Harley Davidson will be the site for Rumble in the Ozarks Poker Run benefiting NWA Special Olympics; Bike Show on Saturday; the Ill Conduct Stunt Riders and many other exciting happenings including a 2010 Harley Davidson give-away!

The AMP will have two nights of music for this festival. On Friday, May 21, The AMP will host a variety of regional blues bands as classic cars cruise in for the car show on Saturday. Saturday, May 22 brings the Georgia Satellites and Blue Oyster Cult to The AMP stage for one HUGE night of Hot Music! The Georgia Satellites from their bar band roots to their chart-crashing megahits have kept the world moving to their gritty, three-chord rock n roll. “Keep Your Hands to Yourself”, followed by “Battleship of Chains”, “Hippy, Hippy Shake” and others have earned these guys a permanent spot in music history.

Blue Oyster Cult for nearly three decades has been thrilling fans of intelligent hard rock worldwide. BOC’s list of hits include: “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, “Godzilla”, “Burnin’ for You”, “Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll”, “Then Came the Last Days of May”, “I Love the Night”, “In Thee”, “Veteran of Psychic Wars”, and many, many more. BOC is often cited as one of the greatest hard rock bands of all time. “We can’t wait for MORE cowbell” said Brian Crowne, AMP owner, with a smile and a wink. BOC was the subject of an all-time classic Saturday Night Live skit about the musical use of cowbell.

May 27 Gary Allan takes The AMP stage and brings with him a guitar case full of hot country hits. Gary’s music is described on his website as, “It's raw and emotional. It's freight-train-to-nowhere lonely. It's hard-rockin', no-apologies country music that has traded in its twang for a gravelly growl millions of fans recognize as the voice of Gary Allan.” With hits such as “Nothing on But the Radio”, “Man to Man”, “Tough Little Boys”, “Her Man” and “Right Where I Need to Be”, The AMP will be hard-riding this country train into a night of great music.

June 12 You Can’t Touch This – M.C. Hammer rocks The AMP. This show will be Hammer Time magic. “Everyone we’ve mentioned this show to is so excited. We think this could be the biggest party of the summer. We’re looking forward to seeing AMP guests breakin’ down with M.C.,” commented Lea Ann VanWinkle-Gisler, AMP Hospitality Team.

The music and season continue into October and The AMP will be releasing additional shows and events as they are scheduled. Currently, we are working on the line-up for late June through Bikes, Blues and Barbeque (BBB). The AMP is proud to once again be the headlining venue for BBB. We look forward to producing concerts in keeping with BBB’s tradition of national acts and crowd pleasing favorites.
