THORNTON Sweat beads on his face as Aljabbar Salam gulps down his first bottle of cold water upon enter the cooling station at the Salvation Army at 1111 W. Markham Street Tuesday afternoon in Little Rock. Salam says he has been living on the streets after moving to Little Rock from Magnolia to look for work. The Salvation Army opens it's doors as a cooling center from 1-4pm everyday the heat index rises above 100 degrees.
