Conway singer-songwriter inducted into Hall of Fame

— Leta Stroud of Conway, country-gospel music singer and songwriter, was inducted into the Circuit Rider Magazine Hall of Fame during the Circuit Rider Golden Harp Awards Ceremony Sept. 26.

W.C. Taylor and his wife, Annelle Taylor, founders of Circuit Rider Records, headquartered in Granada, Miss., presented the awards during the Country Gospel Music Guild convention, held for the first time in Conway.

On Sept. 25, the Country Gospel Guild presented a showcase of Circuit Rider CountryGospel Artists that included Stroud. Her current radio release, “Pass The Word,” is No. 1 on the Circuit Rider Southern Country Gospel Charts, according to the Christian Voice Magazine.

This gives her five No. 1 releases, being constantly in the top 10 of the charts for the past 30 months.

Stroud won the Songwriter of the Year Award from the guild.

Warren Stroud, Leta’s husband and business manager, received the Pioneer Award from the Country Gospel Music Guild.
