ORRELL LYNN “BO” HUMPHREY JR., of Little Rock, Ark., passedaway on Saturday, April 9. He was born in Mc-Gehee, Ark., on Sept. 19, 1932, to Orrell Lynn Humphrey and Katherine Inez Oliver. He is preceded in death by both of his parents. Mass of ChristianBurial will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. MARCILL MONCRIEF, 85, of North Little Rock passed awayThursday, April 7, 2011. She was born in El Paso, Ark., to the late Floyd and Etta Cummings Burns. Marcill was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Troy Moncrief; and four brothers, Chelcie, A.D., Troy, and Bedford Burns. Marcill was a loving and caring homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. She will be remembered for her generosity, cheer, wonderful skills of gardening, cooking and sewing, and her practice of telling it like it is. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, James Troy Moncrief Jr. and his wife, Inn, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and David Bruce Moncrief and his wife, Julie, of Fort Smith, Ark.; three grandchildren, James Troy Moncrief III of Chattanooga, Tenn., Lillian and Ellen Moncrief of Fort Smith, Ark.; two greatgrandchildren, Ada and Everest Moncrief of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Bea Shock and Louise Cearley; three brothers, Hack, Mc-Coy and Bill Burns; and a host of other family and friends. NANCY L. MURPHY, 81, of Little Rock died Saturday, April 9, 2011. She was born April 23, 1929, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Brice and Lily McCallum Isom. Mrs. Murphy worked for 33 years as a Draftswoman for AT&T, drawing maps of cities and towns by hand,for telephone service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Isom, and sisters, Lily Treadway and Edd Hay. Mrs. Murphy “Dandy” issurvived by the love of her life, Harold Ellingson of Little Rock, one son, Jerry Murphy of Cabot, and one daughter, Robin Rye, and her husband, Andy, of Vilonia as well as grandsons, Ryan Talbert and his wife, Jesica; Ross Talbert and his wife, Devon, and their daughter, Erin; Marty Murphy and Bryce Murphy. MAYICKAL PAPPEN, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011. He was born in India to Mammen and Mariamma Scaria. Mayickal was a 22-year employee of the Arkansas Department of Health. He is survived by his ex-wife, Marykutty Pappachen; children, Lizzy Blake, Texas, Litty Pappachen, and James Pappachen; and one sister, Annamma Zaachariah. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., today at Saint Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, under the direction of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home.

BALD KNOB - Jewell Allene Hamilton, age 83, of Bald Knob,loving mother and “Nanny,” died Saturday, April 9, 2011. She was born in the Sidon Community, March 23, 1928, the daughter of Carl H. and Edith Rhoades Scott. Ms. Hamilton wasretired from Arkansas General Industries in Bald Knob and was a member of the Searcy Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, James “Jr.” Hamilton Jr. (Alsidene), Searcy; Randy Hamilton (Patsy), Round Rock, Texas; David Hamilton (Sarah), Heber Springs; daughters, Brenda Spradling (Joe), and Debbie Duncan (Ricky), Bald Knob; brother, James Paul Scott (Betty), Searcy, and a sister, Carlene Caldwell (Benny) of Floyd. Grandchildren, Monty and Logan Hamilton, Chad Ashburn, Amber Roberts, Jody Spradling, Aaron and Mark Hamilton, Jeremy Duncan, Autumn Lindsey, Isaiah Hamilton and Megan Reed, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. CAMDEN - Beth Dunn Arnold, 88, of Camden, formerly of Hampton, died Friday, April 8, 2011 at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1922 in Hampton, Ark., to the late Leroy and Maude Dunn. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and Aunt Beth. She was a wonderful homemaker and known for her great cooking. She was a retired line supervisor for General Dynamics. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Coach Boyd Arnold; brother, Dr. Tom Dunn; sisters, Katie Culpepper and Marilyn Sullenberger; and grandson, William Boyd “Bill” Arnold. She is survived by her son, Ben Arnold and wife Shelly of Cave Creek, Ariz.; daughter, Betty Arnold of Camden; three grandchildren, Amanda Ghaemmaghami and husband Vafa of Phoenix, Ariz., Courtney Gillis and husband Ryan of Surprise, Ariz., Jacob Boyd Arnold of Cave Creek, Ariz.; five great-grandchildren, and the Dunn kids and their families. PARON - Steven Rayburn Benton, 48, of Paron, Ark., died April 8, 2011, at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1962, in Little Rock to the late Bobby Gene Benton and Imogene Edwards who survives. Mr. Benton worked for Kroger and was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses. In his past time he loved restoring cars and was a very avid deer hunter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Shane Benton and Justin Benton, both of Alexander, Ark.; three brothers, Darrell Benton of Little Rock, Edward Benton of New Mexico, and Mickey Benton of Benton, Ark.; one sister, Debbie Adams of Plumerville, Ark.

SHERIDAN - Pet Clark, age 82, of Sheridan died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born May 3, 1928 in Rison to the late Lonnie Harris and Mattie Reed Harris. Mrs. Clark was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan and was an avid Bridge Player and a very loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Haywood Wright and James Clark; one brother, Lacy Harris; and her parents.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Cathy) Wright of Memphis, Tenn.; three step-sons, Dale Clark, Donald Clark, and James Ervin Clark, all of Sheridan; one daughter, Becky (Robert) Horton of Hot Springs Village; two step-daughters, Louise Whitaker and Ruth Ann Culpepper, both of Sheridan; one brother, Sam Harris of Rison, and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

SHERIDAN - George Author “Buddy” Sanders of Sheridan, Ark .,was born Dec. 27, 1942 at Van, Ark., the son of the late George Lee and Daisy Ruth Brown Sanders.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having proudly served in the United States Marines and wasretired owner and operator of Sanders Gun and Bait Shop. George was a member of Crockett’s Bluff Missionary Baptist Church, was a 32 degree Mason, a member of Rattlesnake Hunting Club, and also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was a bail bondsman and had served previously served 20 years in law enforcement as an officer.

Mr. Sanders died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Sanders; a sister, Margaret Rhodes; and a nephew, Buddy Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Jo Moore Sanders of Sheridan; son, Earl Sanders of Nashville, Ark.; sisters, Alice Faye Nichols of Killeen, Texas, and Shirley Edwards of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Jessica Sanders of Benton, Clay and Logan Sanders of Benton; great-grandchild, Hunter Newlun of Benton.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Private interment will take place in Arkansas Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2501 West 28th, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71601.

STAR CITY - Jerry Carter Mc-Gehee, 38, of Star City, died Saturday. He was born Nov. 26, 1972 in Pine Bluff to Tommy and Dianne Bolen McGehee. He was a truck driver and was a member of Crigler Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving son, an overprotective brother, a rambunctious uncle and a wonderful friend to many.

Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Woodrow McGehee, and maternal grandfather, Luther Bolen. Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Dianne McGehee of Star City; brother, Michael McGehee of Arkadelphia; sister, Kim Lanehart and husband Jacob of Star City; paternal grandmother, Gertrude McGehee of Star City; maternal grandmother, Edna Bolen of Star City; nephew, Asher Lanehart of Star City; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Bro. David Leopard and Bro. James Calhoun will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery.
