LITTLE ROCK Nearly 7,000 area residents are without power after a brief thunderstorm pushed through the Little Rock area.
Entergy Arkansas reported the total on its website, with a majority of the outages in the areas between Markham Street and Cantrell Road east of Interstate 430. In that area, 3,664 are currently without power.
Another large area of outages starts in and around downtown, stretching from near the riverfront, past the I-430 and I-30 interchange and down to Roosevelt Road. In that pocket, 1,279 people are said to be without power.
An additional 525 are without power around Rodney Parham Road near the I-430 on-ramp after the storm.
