LITTLE ROCK Little Rock police have released the name of a man shot and killed by officers investigating an assault on the city’s west side.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Saturday that 43-year-old Donald O’Fallon died Friday after officers Matthew Hoffine and James Anderson opened fire on him.
Hoffine and Anderson were placed on paid leave pending an investigation into the shooting.
A police report says the officers were investigating a report of an assault involving a man and a woman and that the woman said she and O’Fallon had been arguing when O’Fallon hit her. The report says O’Fallon then came out of the home with a weapon and was shot by the officers.
It was not revealed how many shots were fired or how many times O’Fallon was struck.

Little Rock police officers risk their lives MULTIPLE times a day when they arrive at a call location...THE PERPETRATOR RIGHTLY HAS THE SAME RISK! I wish every call was listed in the paper to show the citizens what is going on in our town. Along with multiple "gun involved" calls are the NONSENSE calls that could result in someone with a legitimate need dying while waiting. They should have a van that picks up ALL the disoriented, staggering, hollaring, asleep on the curb, NAKED and out of control drug addicts and keep them in the van until they are miserable and have used the bathroom on themselves, then turn them loose. God Bless our Little Rock Police Department Officers.
