SEARCY — Authorities in White County have arrested a man in connection with the April death of his girlfriend.

The Daily Citizen reports that Charles Berry was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Donna Kennedy.

Kennedy died April 20 from a gunshot wound. Investigators say her death was reported as a suicide.

White County Chief Deputy Jeremy Clark says investigators later determined that Kennedy did not shoot herself. White was arrested this week and is being held in the White County jail on a $200,000 bond. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
