9700 Baseline Road, the site of a double shooting that sent two men to the hospital.

— Police are investigating an early Monday morning shooting that put two people in the hospital.

Officers responded to 9700 Base Line Road at 3:37 a.m. on a call of shots fired. When authorities arrived, they found Edward Morten, 35, and Ken Cooney, 27, with gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told police they saw an unidentified black male park a vehicle on the east side of the complex on Winston Road, get out of a vehicle, say, 'This is what it is' and fire multiple rounds from an assault rifle.

Cooney and Morten were taken to UAMS Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrest have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
