LITTLE ROCK Two people have been arrested in the shooting death of a man outside his mobile home in Little Rock.
Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Donte Davis, 20, and James Johnson, 19, both of Little Rock, are each facing a capital-murder charge in the fatal shooting of 50-year-old Charles T. Gaskins outside his residence, No. 203 at 9500 S. Heights Road.
Gaskins' fiancee, Nikelle Girndt, told authorities that two men, including one who was armed with a handgun, approached the home as she and Gaskins sat on the front porch about 12:30 a.m. Monday, according to a police report.
Girndt told police she ran inside the residence and struggled to close the door as one of the two assailants tried to enter. She said she then heard two gunshots coming from outside, the report said. Gaskins was found on his back outside the residence with gunshot wounds in his right hand, chest and lower cheek.
The police spokesman said only that Davis and Johnson were "developed as suspects" before being arrested about 9:30 p.m. on a traffic stop at North Rodney Parham Road and Towne Oaks Drive. Three others with Davis and Johnson were released without charges.

Guzzler....I suggested billboards around Little Rock a couple of times showing a little boy with the caption: "I want to go to prison and be with my daddy." So many young men killing because they want a permanent home???
