You don’t even have to be Christian to know the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do to you. In fact, scholars note that it is the one precept common to all major faith traditions. And in his interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts last month, President Obama cited the Golden Rule when describing the role his Christian faith played in leading him to support same-sex marriage.
