A woman was arrested yesterday after authorities found a man who appeared to have died from a gun shot wound, police say.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 4013 Robin Hood Lane in Pine Bluff around 11 p.m. Saturday, according to a report from the Pine Bluff Police Department. They found Crystal Joy Scott-Paxson, 44, at the residence. They also found a man who was unresponsive and appeared to have a gunshot wound to his upper body, the report said.

A coroner pronounced James Johnson, 66, of Pine Bluff dead at the scene. The state crime lab will perform an autopsy on the body.

Scott-Paxson was taken into custody and is being held on a probable cause first degree murder charge, the report said.

Authorities are investigating.
