LITTLE ROCK — A Little Rock construction company has been awarded a contract to make improvements to a roadway in Pulaski County.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission announced Tuesday Redstone Construction Group Inc. received a $466,581 contract to realign Arkansas Highway 10, or Cantrell Road, at the Union Pacific Railroad Viaduct near downtown Little Rock.

Officials say the realignment will offer improved safety conditions for drivers.

Work on the project could begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting.

Officials expect the project to be done this summer.
