Experts weigh in on strength of Obama’s coattails in state

President Barack Obama’s poor showing in Tuesday’s primary doesn’t bode well for him at the Arkansas ballot box in November, but the prognosis for down-ballot Democrats depends on who is doing the talking. Democratic politicos — nationally and in Arkansas — say congressional and statehouse candidates aren’t likely to be decimated by anti-Obama sentiment. Democratic candidates in Arkansas are more in touch with the state’s conservative values, they say.
