Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Pulaski County bank Tuesday morning.
Lt. Carl Minden, a spokesman for the Pulaski County sheriff's office, said Metropolitan National Bank at 15602 Arch Street Pike was robbed about 9 a.m.
The robber is described as a white man about six feet tall and weighing 250 pounds. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and black sunglasses, a white undershirt and bluejeans. He had a bandanna covering his face.
The robber escaped on foot with an unknown amount of cash. He never showed a weapon.
Minden said the branch is the only bank in unincorporated Pulaski County. He said he can't remember the last time deputies responded to a bank robbery, but that it has been at least "several years."
