Authorities are investigating the death of an 88-year-old man who was found with a gunshot wound to his head outside his home.
Police were called to the scene of a body laying face up on the sidewalk in front of a residence at 4018 Kenyon Drive in Little Rock shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. They arrived to find the body of Lawrence Toll with a gunshot wound to the left side of head, Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said.
Toll was pronounced dead at the scene, and a semi-automatic handgun was found laying next to his body, according to police.
Toll’s body was taken by the Pulaski County Coroner, and Davis said a cause of death has yet to be determined. However, Davis said no reports indicated that Toll's death was a homicide.
The police report states a witness heard a loud noise outside their home around 3 a.m. Wednesday morning but did not seeing anything when he or she looked outside.
