A 22-year-old Little Rock man accused of rape was acquitted Wednesday by a Pulaski County jury.

Court records show jurors deliberated about an hour after a two-day trial before Circuit Judge Leon Johnson before finding Preston Howard innocent of the charge, which carries a potential life sentence.

Howard, represented by attorney Lew Marczuk, was arrested in February 2013 based on accusations presented to police in July 2011 from a 6-year old Conway girl stemming from a time Howard had been supervising her and her siblings.
