Pizza deliveryman held up; teens jailed

Jacksonville police arrested four teenagers Thursday in the armed robbery of a pizza-delivery driver.

Officers responded about 11 p.m. to Domino's Pizza at 507 North J.P. Wright Loop Road, where Christopher White said he'd been robbed after making a delivery to 311 N. Elm St. Police said White was met by A'Ryan Austin, 15, and three other teenagers, according to an arrest report. White told police Austin stole White's cellphone and $19 at gunpoint and the group then searched his car for other items, the report said.

No injuries were reported.

Police found the teens at 209 Pike Ave., about a block from where White said he was robbed. Officers reported finding White's phone and a handgun at the residence.

Curtis Harris, 15, Kameron Harris, 17, Jarvis McChriston, 18, and Austin were each charged as adults with aggravated robbery, breaking or entering and theft of property. Austin was additionally charged with theft by receiving.

Each was being held with bail set at $28,500 at the Pulaski County jail late Friday.

Adult diaper said to yield drug stash

A man was arrested during a traffic stop Thursday in Little Rock, accused of smuggling drugs in his adult diaper, police reported.

Officers pulled over Terrance "Tiny" Evans about 3 p.m. on Roosevelt Road at Interstate 30. Soon afterward, they found 25 grams of cocaine and 2.5 ounces of marijuana in the crotch of his adult diaper, according to an arrest report.

Evans, 37, also had $3,150 cash stuffed in his left sock, the report states.

Information on what led officers to search Evans was not included in the report.

Evans was charged with improper lane change, furnishing prohibited articles and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Pulaski County jail officers found more drugs on Evans during a body cavity search, for which he was charged with two additional counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to the report.

Evans was being held in the Pulaski County jail Friday with bail set at $15,000.

LR officers pick up suspect in shooting

Little Rock police on Thursday arrested a suspect in a Dec. 13 shooting that injured one person.

Harvey Dale Jones, 52, was charged with first-degree battery. He's accused of shooting Robert Johnson, 58, during an argument in the 1900 block of Johnson Street.

Johnson told police he was walking away from the argument when Jones, also known as "Doedoe," fired several shots at him, striking him in the leg. Johnson received treatment at UAMS Medical Center.

Jones was being held in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond late Friday. He was released from prison on parole earlier this year after being convicted of cocaine possession in July 2013.

Drug charge filed after NLR pursuit

North Little Rock police investigating a report of a suspicious person at a school arrested a man on a drug charge after a short chase Thursday.

An officer on routine patrol was flagged down about 4:41 p.m. by a man in the parking lot of North Little Rock Academy, 5500 Lynch Drive. The man told the officer to look for a gold-colored sedan being driven by a suspicious man, according to a police report.

Soon afterward, the officer saw the sedan weaving and crossing into oncoming traffic as it traveled onto Faulkner Lake Road, the report says. The driver sped east and ignored the pursuing officer for about a mile until reaching an entrance ramp for Interstate 440, according to the report. That's where the driver stopped and was arrested.

Police reported finding a bag of marijuana in the car.

Patrick Standman, 22, was charged with fleeing and possession of a controlled substance. He was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Friday.

Man charged after hats stolen at Citgo

North Little Rock police arrested a man Friday morning and charged him with commercial burglary on accusations that he broke into a gas station and stole toboggan hats, according to a report.

Marvin Bell Jr., 42, 18 N. Beech St. in North Little Rock, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Pine Street. Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Citgo at 700 E. Broadway about 2:10 a.m. Friday. The owner arrived and played for the officer a surveillance tape showing a man breaking the front window and attempting to break the front video camera, police said. The man then reached inside the store and stole eight to 10 toboggan hats, police reported.

While searching the area about an hour after the burglary, an officer spotted Bell, who matched the description of the burglar and was carrying nine hats with price tags still attached, the report states. According to the report, Bell also appeared intoxicated and possessed a glass "crack pipe."

Bell, who also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication, was transported to the Pulaski County jail and was being held there Friday night in lieu of $5,000 bond.
