A Little Rock man at first wouldn't pull over for police and then stopped, crawled into the backseat and claimed he wasn't the driver, according to a Little Rock Police Department arrest report.
Philip Baca, 26, was booked into the Pulaski County jail on misdemeanor charges including speeding, driving with a suspended license, driving while intoxicated and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Police say it happened about 1 a.m. Friday after a Little Rock officer tried to pull Baca over for going 83 mph in a 60 mph zone on Interstate 630.
According to the report, Baca continued driving from I-630 and Broadway Street to Clinton Presidential Library, where he "then crawled from [the] driver seat into the backseat and claimed not to be the driver."
The report noted Baca had a "strong odor of intoxicants, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes" and that he refused to take intoxication tests.
He remained in jail Friday morning with bail not yet set. An April 1 court date is set.
