Ex-President Clinton to speak at 20th bombing anniversary

OKLAHOMA CITY — Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to speak during a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Kari Watkins, executive director of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, said Wednesday that Clinton will speak on Sunday, the 20th anniversary of the April 19, 1995, terrorist attack.

Members of bombing victims' families, survivors, rescue workers and others will gather at the former site of the Oklahoma City federal building for the ceremony honoring the bombing's 168 victims.

Clinton, who was president when the bombing occurred, is a member of the national advisory board for the memorial. Clinton attended a memorial service in Oklahoma City a few days after the bombing and in 2010 was honored with the memorial's sixth annual Reflections of Hope Award for his efforts.
