Texas arrests one in Cupid's holdup

A man wanted in the armed robbery of a Little Rock lingerie store was arrested Wednesday in Texas, police said.

Brandon Floyd Seawright, 27, was being held in the Jefferson County, Texas, jail on charges of aggravated robbery and theft of property. Police arrested Seawright in Nederland, a city of 17,000 east of Houston, about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the jail.

Seawright is accused of using what police suspect was a toy gun to rob Cupid's Lingerie at 3920 W. 65th St. in Little Rock. Officers arrived about 6:30 a.m. Monday at the business, where an employee said a man had taken $500 in cash, $350 in adult films and a handgun, according to a police report. No injuries were reported.

Seawright, who was last known to live at 721 Fernwood Drive in Benton, remained jailed in Texas late Thursday.

Robbed after debt repaid, man says

A Little Rock man repaid a debt and was robbed Wednesday by the man he'd borrowed from, police reported.

Officers were summoned at 12:10 a.m. to the 3300 block of Center Street. Justin Dacus, 22, said he'd recently paid $250 he'd owed to a friend's uncle, according to a police report. Dacus said he met his friend for drinks, then friend drove him to his uncle, and the two attacked and robbed him.

The thieves took Dacus' cellphone and $867 cash, according to the report.

No injuries were reported.

Police had identified one of the robbers, who was said to be from Jacksonville. No arrests had been made Thursday.

Police arrest man said to cuss, rob 2

Little Rock police Wednesday arrested a man accused of robbing and threatening a couple after an argument.

Officers arrived at 10:51 p.m. at the Fred W. Paris Towers at 1800 S. Broadway. Leon Nash, 60, and Tammy Shular, 54, said they were walking in the parking lot when a man began cursing at them, according to a police report. The man indicated that he had a gun and said he would kill them. He took $30 from Nash and went inside the apartment building, the report states.

No injuries were reported. Further details about the dispute were unclear.

Officers arrested Christopher Fields, 51, of Little Rock at the scene. He was charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property and second-degree terroristic threatening.

Fields, who had been on parole, was being held in the Pulaski County jail Thursday.

No cash, so thief took TV, man says

A man was robbed at gunpoint after returning home from work Wednesday in Little Rock, police reported.

Joseph Powell, 29, said he arrived about 5:30 p.m. at 6301 Stagecoach Road and found a man he knows as "May Pop" waiting at his door, according to a police report. Powell said he and May Pop spoke for a moment, and May Pop pulled out a gun and demanded cash. Powell told May Pop he didn't have any money, so May Pop took a 46-inch television from Powell's home, the report states.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described only as black. He was last seen fleeing in a purple four-door sedan with chrome wheels.

Woman says thug cut leg, got purse

Police were investigating after a woman said she was attacked and robbed Wednesday in Little Rock.

Officers were called at 5:24 a.m. to West 26th and Arch streets. Necola Gentry, 40, said she'd been standing at the intersection when a gold Chevrolet Malibu pulled up, according to a police report. A man got out of the car, cut her knee with a sharp object and took her purse. The car was last seen traveling west on Roosevelt Road.

Gentry refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

The robber is described only as black. No arrests had been made.
