Colette Honorable speech time, location altered

The time and location has changed for the Little Rock speech to be given by Federal Energy Regulatory Commission member Colette Honorable on Friday.

Her lecture will now be held at noon at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, 200 E. Markham St. in Little Rock. It was previously set for 12:30 p.m. in the Clinton Center's Great Hall.

Honorable was nominated to the commission by President Barack Obama in August and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in December for a term that expires in June 2017.

Before joining the commission, Honorable was a member of the Arkansas Public Service Commission and was its chairman since January 2011.

The commission is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas and oil. It also licenses hydropower projects and reviews proposals to build liquefied natural gas terminals and interstate natural gas pipelines.

Seats can be reserved by emailing publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu or calling (501) 683-5239.
