Focus should be on Democrats

I never cease to be amazed at people and their thoughts.

Slamming [Sen.] Tom Cotton for standing up for them and the United States Constitution.

Arguing over the Martin Luther King Jr. and Gen. Lee holidays?

Believing the Koch brothers are personally responsible for every Republican win last November because of their almighty dollar — really?

Sadly, this is more like Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

House Democrats just announced a $3.7 trillion budget plan, agreeing with the president for a $1.8 trillion tax increase on wealthy people and corporations. At 39.1 percent, the United States already has the highest corporate income tax rate, and the third-highest marginal corporate income tax in the world (Chad and Arab Emirates are Nos. 1 and 2, respectively).

Not only does this put our manufactured goods/exports/economy at a huge disadvantage, the Democrats’ plan would raise our national debt by an astounding $6 trillion-plus over a 10-year period.

On George Bush’s last day in office, the debt was $10.6 trillion; in the last seven years it has ballooned to $18.3 trillion, and under this new Democratic plan, it will rise to more than $25 trillion. Not to even mention the $1 trillion tax increase Obamacare put on us, or the curbs to Medicare.

Democrats have placed, and continue to place, huge debt on the shoulders of our children, grandchildren and all future generations.
