Sherwood woman arrested over forged codeine prescription

A Sherwood woman was arrested after she attempted to fill a forged prescription at a North Little Rock pharmacy, police say.

About 4:30 p.m. Thursday an employee of Cornerstone Pharmacy at 5328 JFK Blvd. called police after 21-year-old Destiny Davis turned in a prescription for 200 Promethazine codeine pills, according to a North Little Rock police report.

The employee contacted the clinic about the prescription and verified it was fake. Police also verified that the prescription was fake and that Davis is not a patient of the clinic, according to the report.

When Davis returned to pick up the prescription, police were there, and they arrested her and charged her with second-degree forgery.
