A 61-year-old North Little Rock man is accused of stabbing a woman in the back, according to a police report.
Verneal Williams was arrested at 800 N. Beech St. on Friday after Sheila King told police he stabbed her in the back and in the shoulder, police said.
A witness told North Little Rock police that the two were fighting and that he saw Williams hit King in the back, according to the report. The witness told police that King fell to the ground and he could see blood coming through her shirt, the report said.
Williams was found in the area and had a pocket knife, which appeared to have blood on it, police said.
He was charged with first-degree domestic battery and was listed on the Pulaski County jail's inmate roster Saturday night.
