Suspect arrested in fatal Little Rock shooting

A man was arrested Monday in a double shooting that killed one person and injured another at a Little Rock apartment complex over the weekend.

Robert Daniel Edwards, 21, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree battery. Edwards, known as "Little Rob," is accused of shooting Michael Lee, 21, and Anthony Neal, 20, at Spanish Jon's Apartments at 5001 W. 65th St. on Saturday. Officers were called to the apartment complex about 4:50 a.m. and found Lee shot to death in a breezeway in Building D.

Police then found Neal being treated for multiple gunshot wounds at UAMS Medical Center and connected him to the shooting.

Further details were not released.

Police identified Edwards as the shooter later Saturday. He surrendered to police Monday.

Edwards was being held at the Pulaski County jail. His first court appearance in the shooting was scheduled for this morning.

Court records show Edwards has no previous adult criminal history.

Lee's death is the 21st homicide of the year in Little Rock.
