Sydnei Danyale Pearcy, 26, is to appear Friday in Logan County Circuit Court.

An affidavit signed by Booneville police Lt. Steve Reid says Pearcy and a 15-year-old male student swapped "a lot" of nude photos and videos of each other on the social media app Snapchat in October and November while Pearcy was working as a substitute teacher for Booneville School District.

The act was initiated by Pearcy, according to the affidavit, which also says Pearcy sent the student photos of her breasts and other private parts, and the student sent photos of his private parts to Pearcy.

The student said in the affidavit that Pearcy tried to arrange a meeting with the student, "but that never happened." After the teacher went to some of the student's athletic events, the student became uncomfortable and blocked Pearcy from his Snapchat account, the affidavit states.

After that, according the affidavit, Pearcy contacted the student on the social media app Instagram and told him that he was "being immature." The student then blocked Pearcy from Instagram, the affidavit says.

Pearcy was arrested Jan. 27 and was released on $5,000 bond the same day. She has been prohibited from contacting the student, according to court documents.

Efforts to reach Pearcy's attorney, Kenny Goza, and Booneville Superintendent John Parrish were unsuccessful Wednesday.

Computer child pornography is a Class B felony punishable by five to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $15,000.
