Little Rock police hold 1 in hotel room robbery

Police arrested a man accused of robbing a woman at a Little Rock hotel Monday.

Officers were called at 1:52 a.m. to Extended Stay America at 600 Hardin Rd., off Financial Centre Parkway. Chana McDonald, 29, said she'd been expecting a co-worker to visit when she heard a knock on her door, according to a police report.

Two men then forced their way inside the room, held her at gunpoint and demanded money. The robbers took McDonald's backpack and fled, according to the report. The report said the backpack contained several hundred dollars' worth of clothes and electronics.

Police said McDonald suffered minor injuries in the holdup.

Officers searched the area and arrested a man at West Markham Street and Shackleford Road. Dennis Thomas, 20, matched the description of one of the robbers and had several of McDonald's stolen possessions when officers found him, according to the report.

Thomas was charged with aggravated robbery, theft of property and aggravated residential burglary. He was being held in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday.

No other arrests had been made.
