Luis Berrios, 50, pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault. The plea came under an agreement Sam Hall, Berrios' attorney, reached with Carrie Dobbs, Benton County deputy prosecutor.

Berrios was arrested Oct. 13, 2015. A 18-year old woman came to the Benton County sheriff's office and said Berrios sexually abused her. The woman said the abuse began when she was 14, according to court documents.

Berrios was interviewed by a sheriff's investigator, and admitted having sexual contact with the girl when she was 14, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren accepted the plea agreement and Berrios' guilty pleas.

Berrios was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He must abide by a suspended-sentence agreement for 10 years after his release from prison.

He'll be required to register as a sex offender.
