Three people were injured, including one critically, after being shot with a shotgun inside a house in a neighborhood off John Barrow Road in Little Rock Thursday morning.

Police said they took one suspect into custody after seeing him walking several blocks away from the shooting, which was reported just before 7 a.m.

No additional suspects are being sought.

Police spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said investigators have not determined the relationship between the victims, though at least one was determined to be a resident of the one-story house.

One victim was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in critical condition, and two others were taken to UAMS Medical Center.

Several of the victims were found hiding in the backyard filled with children's play-sets and a small garden, police said.

The victims and the suspect are Hispanic, McClanahan said, adding the department is bringing in an interpreter to help conduct interviews.

Diana Anderson, who has lived for nine years in a house across the street from where the shooting occurred, said she could not remember another shooting in the area.

"It's quiet around this neighborhood," she said.
