Pulaski County deputies late Saturday night arrested a 23-year-old suspected of shooting another man during a dispute at a Wrightsville carwash hours before.
Durell Demond Childress, 23, of Little Rock was being held at the Pulaski County jail Sunday on two charges, first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
Authorities found the victim about 7:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the buttocks near Arkansas 365 and 145th Street, according to a Pulaski County sheriff's office news release.
The victim, described only as a black male, identified Childress to police after he was taken to UAMS Medical Center with injuries that weren't life-threatening.
No bail was listed for Childress on the jail's website Sunday.
