Unfit to be president

In my mind, Donald Trump exhibits all the negative traits and behaviors we have come to expect from him and then some.

All the features of his first-debate persona should have earned him an incontrovertible thumbs-down. His grimaces and other facial contortions (compared to Hillary Clinton's ultra-calm demeanor); his rant-like ramblings, unfinished sentences and strange verbal tangents that even a close listener could not avoid labeling incoherent; his constant disrespectful interruptions and talking over Clinton during her allotted speaking time; his unsupported, stupid-sounding taunts relating to issues such as stamina and ineffectiveness; and finally, the complete lack of substance or details related to any of the actual policy areas upon which he ventured to comment.

Donald Trump not only lost the debate, he proved once and for all that he is unfit to be president of the United States of America.

Run as a Democrat?

It seems Donald Trump's trashy sex talk has disqualified him from being president among the Democrats and some wimpy Republicans like Paul Ryan and others. I think Trump should be running as a Democrat since they have overwhelmingly elected JFK and most recently our own Bill Clinton, and his sex talk would never be brought up.

Trump's sex talk is what the mainstream media focuses on, and not Hillary's emails. Seems like running as a Democrat, anything goes and the mainstream ignores it.

Population problems

Paul Christ has identified the single biggest problem facing the human race: overpopulation. I've seen common estimates that the Earth's ecosystem can support 1.5 to 2 billion people, enjoying a reasonable quality of life sustainably. Today, we are over 7.4 billion and growing.

Even when we lower our per capita impact on the planet (e.g., recycling, going green, eating less), the growing population wipes out that success. Moreover, overpopulation causes problems you might not think of. Hitler justified invasions of neighboring countries on the basis of needing lebensraum (living space) for Germany's growing population. Where overpopulation results in massive hunger and poverty, widespread despair often produces political unrest, violence, and the rise of extremism.

Yet overpopulation is that problem people don't want to face or even educate themselves about. I would urge readers to visit the Population Media Center (www.populationmedia.org) and the Population Institute (www.populationinstitute.org). Not only will you learn about the problem, but also some solutions.

When our nation falls

When in the Air Force I had a top secret/crypto clearance, the highest classification assigned for sensitive information. We had direct lines to Washington, D.C., and to the National Security Agency.

On every base assigned, I was briefed about our work and cautioned not to discuss it with anyone, and passed through a door with the warning, "Loose lips sink ships."

We were also cautioned that any tiny piece of information could be used by the enemy to complete the puzzle to compromise our mission, whether it was deemed classified or not. China, Russia, North Korea, etc., are listening in to all our communication frequencies so we must be vigilant in anything we send or receive. This is why we use codes so the enemy cannot intercept our messages.

NSA needs to know about clandestine activities, including terrorists, drug dealers, those causing torment, etc. Even Eliot Ness and his Untouchables used wire-tapping against Al Capone to discover his illegal activities.

During World War II, the Manhattan Project was top secret. What if we had an Edward Snowden then? Later during the Cold War in the 1950s, the Rosenbergs gave bomb secrets to Russia. Did we forgive Julius and Ethel Rosenberg? They were executed in 1953 in the electric chair at Sing Sing Prison.

So should we give Snowden a pardon? Never. Tried as a traitor? Yes.

In the Dallas Morning News, Michael A. Lindenberger suggested that Snowden did our country a favor by stealing sensitive information from the NSA. So when China or Russia invade the United States in the near future, thank Edward Snowden for his service.

Remember, when the United States falls, the world will tumble back into the Dark Ages, bringing chaos, pandemonium, murder and starvation as you've never seen, slavery of the people by some nascent dictator, and control of the mind.

Was carefully planned

"Did he really say that?" To apply the question to the latest anti-Trump obsession, yes, he did. Sometimes men are crude and worse (horrors), politically incorrect. Do I care that a younger Donald Trump engaged in salty sex talk? No.

To put it in perspective, I believe this is a carefully planned and scripted attack on Trump with the GOP establishment working in collusion and coordination with the left. It is intended to damage Trump and boost Hillary Clinton, so let that leave no illusion about who the "Never Trump" are. I believe they have the same no borders, globalist agenda as liberalism and are the true forces of anti-Americanism who have shrieked and screamed the "replace Trump" mantra from the beginning.

Donald Trump and we who support him are a huge threat to these people because we will put America first, unthinkable to the dark forces of globalism. Keep the faith; we hold the winning hand, they have overplayed theirs, and it is blowing up in their faces.

Make America great again? You betcha.
