New review system aims to provide more support for Arkansas schools

The 2017-18 school year will be one in which the state's system for holding schools and districts responsible for student learning will feature more state support for districts and less "gotcha," Education Commissioner Johnny Key said in marking the new year.

So now we give "participation trophies" to the schools? Parents are fleeing our public schools because of their poor performance and top down budgeting. It's time to convert to all Charter Schools and let them compete for school vouchers by their performance. The teacher's unions have been driving our educational system into the ditch for decades, time to abolish it.
