A second man injured in a shooting at a Little Rock apartment complex Friday night died from his injuries early Saturday, police reported.

Police identified the two men killed as Lewis Wallace, 20, and Stevie Howard, 19.

Officers found the two shot multiple times after authorities were called about 8:30 p.m. Friday to Spring Valley Apartments at 8701 Interstate 30. Wallace died at the scene. Police said Howard was taken to a hospital in serious condition and later died from his injuries.

Police spokesman Steve Moore said Saturday that circumstances of the shooting remained unclear. He said two men wearing black clothing were seen running from a courtyard where the shooting occurred, but detectives did not know whether the men were involved in the shooting.

"There's very little information that [detectives] have," Moore said.

Their deaths are the 11th and 12th homicides of the year in Little Rock.

An investigation is ongoing.
