Harrison, Davis, Furr receive UA awards

Robert Harrison, Andy Davis and Amanda Furr received alumni awards recognizing their career accomplishments from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering.

Harrison, vice president and principal engineer at ECCI in Little Rock, received the Distinguished Alumni Award for exceptional professional and personal achievements. He earned his mechanical engineering degree from the university in 1974 and is an international expert in fiber-reinforced plastic materials and hazardous waste incineration.

Davis and Furr received Early Career Alumni Awards, which are presented to graduates showing distinction in their industries.

Furr, who earned an industrial engineering degree in 2003, is the chief of engineering service at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. Davis, who earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1999 and a master's degree in 2001, is owner and president of New Water Systems LLC and is a state representative.
