NEW YORK — Fox News Channel says it has fired prime-time commentator Bob Beckel for making an insensitive remark to a black employee.

Beckel, who has been a liberal panelist on the show The Five, was on his second tour of duty at Fox after being bounced in 2015 for substance abuse.

Fox gave no details on the incident. But lawyer Doug Wigdor said Beckel allegedly left his office when a man came to work on his computer, saying he was doing so because the man was black. Wigdor said that when his client complained to human resources at Fox, Beckel attempted to intimidate him into withdrawing the complaint. Fox denied that anyone tried to intimidate the employee and said Beckel had apologized.

I am going to guess that Beckel was joking, but in today's climate, that might not be permitted.

You people are the joke. Fox has been accused of sexist behavior and racist remarks and the only person they have fired is the pseudo liberal? What a bunch of carp you all are. Fox is a television version of a newspaper tabloid rag. Wouldn't know how to state the truth with a gun to their head! I'll take video/sound proof before believing Fox!

Zactly. They get a two bit drug addict as their "spokesperson" for the left. He was drunk half the time on the show. Fox has the worst debaters on their shows representing the left.
They do that on purpose. It works to their narrative. Meanwhile, go check out MSN. They have real, GOP people debating the issues. Don't get me wrong. Your not going to find true Alex Jones conservatives talking. But if MSN was Fox, that's exactly who they would have represent the right. There's your difference between the two. One tries.

Wow, what about Free speech? Wasnt he kinda like the barney with the bullet comes on Hannity's daily rant ?

I am of course deeply and truly saddened by the dog matic Hannity's anger now days that something is being done about millions of dollars going for , wink, wink, nonexistent dragons and sextual harrassment at Fox entertainment.

He should be a hero to EWE alls tigermule, jfush, and snake. tiger you should comment more often , you are subtle , short and to the point.

Now I being fair, am an avid watcher of the Five. I like both the left and the right

panelist on the photo on this column.

If these pretty women were required to raise their skirts any higher it would have to be taken off TV if aired during children hours.

I just heard on AFR today that 50 Shades of Grey was most purchased in Mississippi. As most porn sites are most viewed in the south (Bible belt). Christians need to get their crap together.
And Ailes knew this. He was smart. He went after uneducated white men that like to treat women as a woman from the 50's but dressed like a cocktail waitress. You certainly didn't watch Fox to get real news.

I disagree. Juan Williams represents you idiots on the left quite well. He, too, never makes sense in his remarks. Oh, and Shepard Smith is so left he's about to lap himself.
