Despite Republicans’ tries to repeal 2010 law, 45-day signup period kicks off

Despite Republicans' attempts to tear down the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the law's fifth annual insurance enrollment season began Wednesday morning, opening a 45-day window in most of the country for eligible consumers to buy health plans for the coming year.
