Berryville 51, West Fork 14

Berryville jumped to a 24-9 halftime lead en route to the big win over West Fork in the finals of the Green Forest tounament on Saturday night.

Emmey Jarnagan led West Fork (2-1) with six points. The Lady Tigers defeated host Green Forest in the first round, then downed Shiloh Chrsitian to reach the finals.

Bentonville, Bentonville West excel in Oklahoma

Bentonville High's Zane Sims and Bentonville West's Jake Adams each finished first in their weight class at the BA Joe Zamora and Skyler Holmen Open in Owasso, Okla., on Saturday.

Sims was one of four Bentonville Tigers to place, winning at 145A. Isaiah Yorba finished second (160B), while Nathan Desler (160B), and Jeremiah Fry (22) each took third (160B).

Adams won at 120B to lead three West placers. Stephen Fox took fourth at 132A and Daryl Easterling was second at 126A.

Other Bentonville High winners in the junior high division were: Eli Helm (80); Jackson Visser (106B) Blake Wolff (113A), Raphael Marascio (132A). Gunner Coppiner of Bentonville West also won the junior high heavyweight division.

Heritage graduate Lundy earns Player of the Year honor

Ellen Lundy, a Rogers Heritage graduate, was recently honored as the Atlantic Sun women's soccer Player of the Year.

The Lipscomb University senior graduate student was also recognized as a scholar athlete and an Atlantic Sun first-team all-conference pick for the second time. Lundy finished with team-highs in goals (eight), shots (44), shots on goal (19) and points (16).
