Same robber said to hit store 3 times

One Little Rock convenience store has been robbed for the third time this month, and authorities believe that the same person is responsible for each crime.

The latest holdup at the store at 13622 Sardis Road happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

An employee told investigators "the same black male" who robbed the store Nov. 3 and Friday returned. The assailant went behind the counter and demanded cash while holding a possible weapon covered in a sock in his right hand, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

The robber, who was wearing a black-and-blue jacket with black pants, also took cigarettes and cigarillos before walking east across Sardis Road from the area. He is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds, according to the report.

Authorities searched the area, but were unable to locate him.

In the Friday robbery, the man held a large black knife above his head and took $500 from the register before grabbing a carton of Newport cigarettes and Swisher Sweet cigars.

On Nov. 3, the man wore a black bandanna over the lower half of his face and black socks on his hands while he threatened to kill an employee if he did not give him the contents of the cash register.

Deliveryman's cash, three pizzas taken

A pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint at a Little Rock apartment complex Wednesday night, according to a police report.

Shortly after 11 p.m., officers went to the Domino's at 11600 N. Rodney Parham Road, where a driver told them he had been robbed while delivering pizza to a unit at Pleasant Pointe Apartments, 1602 Green Mountain Drive.

The 36-year-old driver, a Little Rock resident, told police he was walking toward a building in the complex when he heard someone in a silver vehicle say, "Hey, I'm over here."

The driver went over, he said, believing she had been the one to order the pizza, the report stated. Police said he noticed there were two men in the car but did not think anything of it.

The driver told officers that he began to give her the pizza when he looked up and saw one of the men pointing a black handgun at him.

The gunman took three 14-inch pizzas, which had a total value of about $50, and about $30 in cash the driver had in his pocket, then the car drove away.

Police had named no suspects and made no arrests in the case.

Gunman loots safe at LR Burger King

A gun-wielding robber held up a west Little Rock fast-food restaurant late Wednesday, two workers told police.

Officers responded around 11:40 p.m. to 12001 Colonel Glenn Road, the listed address for a Valero convenience store, regarding a robbery at an attached Burger King.

Two Burger King employees said a man entered the fast-food eatery and pointed a silver and black gun at them, according to a police report.

One worker was forced to lie down while the gunman forced the other to open a safe, authorities said. It was unlocked.

The robber took a bag and deposit out of the safe, the report states.

Police described the robber as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds.

Randall Frye, 48, of Star City was arrested around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of theft of property, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Police said Frye loaded about $1,273 worth of items into a shopping cart at the Kohl's at 13909 Chenal Parkway and then pushed the cart out a fire exit into a vehicle waiting outside.

According to court records, Frye was sentenced in September 2015 to four years in prison as part of a plea deal on a drug-related charge in Jefferson County. He had a jail-time credit of 135 days.
