COMMENTS Last week’s 35-12 loss at Prairie View A&M snapped a four-game stretch in which UAPB lost games decided by seven points or less. … The Golden Lions have lost six games in a row but face a Texas Southern team that’s struggled just as much as they have. The Tigers started 0-7 before beating Mississippi Valley State two weeks ago. … UAPB has lost three of the past four meetings against Texas Southern, including a 24-20 loss in the Tigers’ previous trip to Arkansas in 2015. … Texas Southern ranks in the bottom half of the SWAC in nearly every major offensive and defensive category, but the Tigers are the least penalized team in the league with just 57 flags through nine games. … The Tigers lead the conference in red-zone scoring, capitalizing on 18 of their 20 opportunities, but they are next-to-last in red-zone defense. … UAPB running back KeShawn Williams was held to 15 yards rushing on eight carries last week, but the junior is still ranked among the top five in the conference in rushing at 75.8 yards per game.
