It always seemed odd that Bret Bielema would leave Wisconsin for Arkansas.

Wally, I don't believe in coincidence. Sam Pittman leaving was a big blow. Everything changed when he left. Kurt Anderson can't coach the O-line worth a damn compared to Pittman, and apparently can't recruit either. Anderson needs to be the first to go.

Bielema's brand of power football will never be very successful at Arkansas because the line talent required for it will never be recruited in great enough numbers for it to work - the recruiting base just isn't there. Couple that with a below average line coach and the results are what we are seeing this year.
.
Endure Bielema until Jan. 2019 when his buyout is manageable and fire both him and Jeff Long (Long for signing off on the insane buyout package). Hire a Mike Leach who will run a west coach offense that requires minimal line talent. While high risk it at least gives a chance at winning every game even against Alabama. Or we can be satisfied being a perpetual bottom tier team in the SEC that everyone wants to play for Homecoming.

Frank brought the money, but the Hogs will always be "bottom feeders", 2 out of 20 years. It is what it is. Not enough recruits to compete with the elite in the SEC. Live with it Hog fans....
You just can't recruit the men you need to compete.
Oh ya, Long is a better salesman than PT Barnum. Keep building those luxury suites. If things continue, maybe we can rent them to a WalMart for warehouse space.
