The TV Column has spent the last couple of weeks concentrating on the new and returning series on the broadcast networks. We really haven't had space to mention other shows, but we'll make up for that a little today.

Here are some of the new and returning series already playing this fall on cable and streaming outlets. Missed episodes can usually be found On Demand or on the outlet's website.

Curb Your Enthusiasm, 9 p.m. Sundays on HBO. I certainly hope Larry David is rested for Season 9 of this critically acclaimed tongue-in-cheek take of his wacky life. It has been, after all, six years since the end of Season 8.

There will be 10 episodes this season that will center on Fatwa!, a musical comedy David has been writing based on the life of author Salman Rushdie (The Satanic Verses) and the death sentence imposed on him by Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini in 1989.

On a recent visit to Late Night With Seth Meyers, Rushdie said HBO "did run it by me" and he approved of the fatwa concept.

Returning will be fan favorites Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove and Cheryl Hines. Also returning are Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen and a gaggle of guest star cameos.

American Horror Story: Cult, 9 p.m. Tuesdays on FX. The seventh season of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology will have 11 episodes and feature a number of returning cast members.

This season deals with phobias that were triggered after Donald Trump was elected president. Stalking clowns are involved.

You're the Worst, 9 p.m. Wednesdays on FXX. The self-involved Jimmy (Chris Geere) and the self-destructive Gretchen (Aya Cash) are still vexing each other in Season 4.

Bojack Horseman, Netflix. The adult animated comedy/drama featuring Will Arnett as the voice of the bitter has-been actor horse is in Season 4, with a fifth season already on order.

Outlander, 7 p.m. Sundays on Starz. Season 3 is underway and a fourth season has been ordered. The series follows time-traveling nurse Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) as she bounces between marriages in 1945 and 1743.

The Deuce, 8 p.m. Sundays on HBO. The gritty adult drama stars James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal. It chronicles the rise of the sex industry in New York from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s.

Franco plays identical twin brothers Vincent and Frankie Martino; Gyllenhaal is independent prostitute Candy. There will be eight episodes.

Broad City, 9:30 p.m. on Comedy Central. It's Season 4 for New York slacker Ilana (Ilana Wexler) and the more mature Abbi (Abbi Abrams). A fifth season for the comedy has been ordered.

Better Things, 9 p.m. Thursdays on FX. Pamela Adlon's delightful comedic look at single motherhood continues into Season 2.

Vice Principals, 9:30 p.m. Sundays on HBO. The second and final season is underway for the comedy starring Danny McBride and the marvelous Walton Goggins.

Channel Zero: The No-End House, 9 p.m. Wednesdays on Syfy. The horror anthology continues. There will be at least two more seasons after this one.

Fuller House, Netflix. Part 1 of Season 3 (nine episodes) is now streaming.

Transparent, Amazon. It's Season 4 for the Emmy-winning Jeffrey Tambor showcase. A fifth season is on order.

Z Nation, 8 p.m. Fridays on Syfy. The 13-episode fourth season is underway with Murphy no longer blue, but the zombie apocalypse far from over. Past seasons are on Netflix.

Van Helsing, 8 p.m. Thursdays on Syfy. Season 2 is up with Kelly Overton as vampire hunter Vanessa Van Helsing.

Ghost Wars, 9 p.m. Thursdays on Syfy. This new series stars Avan Jogia as Roman Mercer battling paranormal baddies in a remote Alaskan town.

Superstition, 9 p.m. Fridays on Syfy. The thriller follows a family who owns a funeral home and graveyard in a town plagued by unworldly phenomena. Mario Van Peebles stars.

Chance, Hulu. Season 2 of the Hulu original continues to follow the adventures of forensic neuropsychiatrist Dr. Eldon Chance (Hugh Laurie).

Mr. Robot, 9 p.m. Wednesdays on USA. The Peabody Award-winning drama/thriller is in its 10-episode third season.

I Love You, America, Hulu. Sarah Silverman variety series. She says it'll be "funny and silly and aggressively dumb, which is my favorite kind of comedy."

Lore, Amazon. Six-episode horror anthology began life as a podcast.

Mindhunter, Netflix. Set in 1979, the series follows two FBI agents (Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany) who interview serial killers to see how they tick and hopefully solve ongoing cases.
