Burglary suspect arrested after 7-mile chase in Little Rock

A burglary suspect was arrested after he led Little Rock police on a vehicular chase Thursday afternoon, police reported.

Officers were called about 2 p.m. to a burglary at a home at 1803 Nichols Road, just east of Interstate 430. Two men were reportedly seen fleeing the area in a tan-colored car. Police said they tried to stop the car at John Barrow and Kanis roads, but the driver fled east onto Interstate 630.

Officers chased the vehicle about 7 miles to 2306 S. Pulaski St., where the men got out of the car and ran, according to police. The two were soon subdued and arrested.

No injuries were reported.

The driver, identified as Ladaveon McFee, 21, was charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, refusal to submit to arrest, fleeing and multiple traffic violations including reckless driving.

It was unclear whether the passenger was charged.

McFee was being held in the Pulaski County jail late Thursday.
