JOHN BRUMMETT: The story so far

Rod Rosenstein, deputy attorney general at this writing but maybe not by your reading, is the man whom the preposterous Russian-endorsed second-place president calls a central villain in a conspiracy by "Democrat loyalists" to engage in a witch-hunt against him.

Rightside says...

JB starts with a few lies. JB Russia did not endorse Trump. He came in first, won the presidency. Trump never called Rosenstein a central villain in a conspiracy. JB says Trump called Rosenstein a Democratic conspirator where is your proof?
Bill Clinton was impeach for perjury in the Jones case and one accusing Clinton of abuse of power. Bill Clinton was disbarred from practicing law in Arkansas and was also disbarred from practicing law in front of the Supreme Court over the Lewinsky incident and fined $25,000. And paid Paula Jones $850,000 for sexual harassment.
What happen to Trump Russia collusion? WE had 24/7 on CNN and MSNBC and Media networks Russian Collusion for a year. Not one ounce of proof of any Trump Russia collusion has come forward. Russia, Russia, Russia all they could talk about. The only collusion was Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee who helped fund the research behind the Russian dossier, colluding with russian agents and a retired British spy.
Why Rosenstein fired Comey "I agree with the nearly unanimous opinions of former Department officials. The way the Director handled the conclusion of the email investigation was wrong. As a result, the FBI is unlikely to regain public and congressional trust until it has a Director who understands the gravity of the mistakes and pledges never to repeat them. Having refused to admit his errors, the Director cannot be expected to implement the necessary corrective actions."
And remember there was a list of democrats wanting Comey fired, old Harry Reid was the top one, the leader of the Senate Democrats.
Trump is not going to fire Rosenstein or Mueller. But JB, democrats and some media wants him to fire them.

Mr. Brummett's statements of fact are true, and his statements of opinion are supported by reason applied to facts, so stumpers for Trump are sure to hate this commentary. That is okay. No drowning man loves an anchor, but those aboard a seaworthy ship consider it a great thing.

Packman says...

This article has ZERO credibility when Brummett blames Hillary's whopping defeat on Comey. Hillary lost because she was a terrible candidate and ignored Wisconsin.
Regardless it's time President Trump fired Mueller, Sessions, and Rosenstein. The Mueller investigation is an effort by political elites, self-proclaimed democrats and republicans alike, to overturn the results of the 2016 election and disenfranchise 60 million or so honest, decent, good Americans. The raid on Cohen's office and associated fishing expedition after striking out on the Trump/Russia collusion angle is evidence of the bloodless coup attempt. It's time to stop it in its tracks before the attempted coup is no longer bloodless.
Is it coincidence political elites are wanting to ban guns at the same time the coup is underway? Maybe. And maybe not. #comeatusbro

All of Brummett's facts are in Trump's own tweets. Here is one of the:

"Much of the bad blood with Russia is caused by the Fake & Corrupt Russia Investigation, headed up by the all Democrat loyalists, or people that worked for Obama. Mueller is most conflicted of all (except Rosenstein who signed FISA & Comey letter). No Collusion, so they go crazy!"

There has been much evidence of Trump/Russian collusion. For one, many of the Trump campaign people met with Russians and received funds from them. Russia placed ads on Trump's behalf. Russia tried to hack into voting systems on Trump's behalf. Trump associate Roger Stone seemed to know about the Wikileaks dump of Hillary's emails before it happened.

I'm inclined to agree, Trump didn't come in second place; hence, he can fire any- and everyone (perhaps I shouldn't give him ideas). No matter, this presidency is a tire fire thus far, and both sides share the blame...GOP for Trump, Dems for Hillary. Both parties can do better, and the country can do better by saying no to the parties.

Where did Trump say "Rosenstein a central villain in a conspiracy and "Rosenstein a Democratic conspirator" PopMom? And you posted no proof of Trump Russia collusion. The only collusion was Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee who spent millions with the Russians on the Russian dossier.

From Lanny Davis who served as special counsel to President Clinton and Hillary's best supporter and friend. "Yet, in the already released excerpts of the TV interview with George Stephanopoulos Sunday night, Comey intends to repeat the same knowing falsehood that he was “obligated” to send his letter to Congress because he promised to do so.
So it is time — accurately — to call Comey a liar for this crucial, self-serving rationalization for his action that made Donald Trump president. And any respectable journalist such as Blitzer — and any responsible and balanced news organization such as CNN — has a duty to fact-check."

Then we get this tin-foil comment from him, "Is it coincidence political elites are wanting to ban guns at the same time the coup is underway? Maybe. And maybe not. #comeatusbro"
Really? The vast majority of gun control advocates are not saying to ban ALL guns, just assault weapons. Yea, I know you can't seem to get the differences straight and seem to lump sporting rifles in with assault weapons. I'm sorry you can't get them straight. But to claim that this is some conspiracy to prevent you from pulling some militia act is absurd and probably the weirdest of your normally weird comments.
I knew you waded in a little too deep sometimes, but I never suspected you of being that far out. Then again, some of your 2A comments have given hint to bizarre beliefs so maybe so.

Should parents of a kid killed by a speeding driver be the best ones to set the speed limits.

We already witnessed by the anti-gun liberal posters the danger of offering suggestions when under hysteria.

Fake general you're rambling again in incoherent terms. In fact, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. But to answer something I THINK you're trying to get across, my comment was directed at Pack who seems to get things confused himself. I have CLEARLY stated on numerous times a ban modeled after the AWB of 1994. In fact, the majority of gun control advocates propose the same ban. It can't get much more clearer than that except in your crazy mind.

Folks, this isn't about the election. The election was over long ago. This is about whether Trump committed criminal acts such acceptance of illegal campaign contributions from foreigners, was a conspirator in the break in of the DNC computer system, took bribes or laundered money from a foreign power, assaulted women or threatened women with whom he had affairs, or obstructed justice. I don't care about his running around, and I don't buy that hush money was an illegal campaign contribution. If the latter was true, then Clinton should have been in trouble as well. With respect to the other issues, I suspect that Trump is going down. He is a crook. A person who doesn't pay subcontractors for work done on his hotels is a bad person. His evil deeds are finally catching up with him. Trump is going down.

Fake general you and others bring up Clinton more than Brummett brings up the fact that Trump finished second in the popular vote. His point is that Trump is not the choice of the populus, but of a system that allows smaller states a more fair footing with larger states in elections. That is about as factual as they come. Nothing that can be disputed in that statement.
But right wingers bring Clinton and Obama up about every other comment. And Pack, actually I think I was the one to torque you. I just restated your illogical points. Pack reading comprehension is not one of your fortes so maybe you should not engage on some topics. Drama queens are typically associated with gays, so "most gays" means those in the community. Yes, we have drama queens in the community and we actually label them. It's not degrading, but does show how a person reacts to things. You fit that bill to a tee. Your comments about the Mueller investigation as an "effort to harm our democracy" is classic DQ behavior. Using hyperbole extensively is also another. Wait, who else does that? That may have been true at the time, but the Russian interference in the 2016 election was pro-Trump. It was Trump campaign officials meeting with the Russians.
