Hot Springs crash kills motorcyclist

One motorcyclist, Keido "Doc" Lovell Howard, was killed, while the driver of the car and the other motorcyclist were injured.

A three-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Hot Springs left a motorcyclist dead and two other people hurt, authorities said.

The crash happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 270 near its intersection with Hollywood Avenue, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.

The driver of a westbound 2003 Buick Regal turned left on the highway into the path of two motorcycles headed east, according to the report.

A 2017 Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle, driven by 33-year-old Keido Howard of Hot Springs, hit the car head-on, the report said. A 1999 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle then hit the Buick on its passenger-side door, state police said.

Howard suffered fatal injuries, the report noted.

The Buick's driver, Gwendolyn Faye Muncrief, 77, of Hot Springs, and the Yamaha's driver, Bobby Ray Riley Jr., 47, of Hot Springs, were hurt, according to the report. It did not detail the extent of their injuries.

The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash, state police reported.
