DANA D. KELLEY: What we don't know

Another hot summer weekend, another lengthy gun-violence casualty list in the Windy City. It was a mass shooting mecca in a city and state with some of the nation's strongest gun-control laws: 74 people shot, 12 dead.

"If we're really serious about stopping gun crime......" And that, my friends, is the problem. Libs aren't serious about stopping crime, that inolving guns or otherwise. Libs are only concerned about gun violence as a means to promote a political narrative designed to inspire people to vote Democrat. Libs couldn't care less about violent crime in our inner cities. After all it's only black folks killing other black folks.
Don't believe what I say? Last week Chicago had multiple mass shootings. Compare the national media coverage of those mass shootings with the media coverage of mass shootings that involve white people.
More evidence libs aren't serious about solving the problem is they have tunnel vision when it comes to discussing potential solutions. Unless it involves attacking the 2A and law-abiding gun owners, they just aren't interested.

"If we're really serious about stopping gun crime ..." I'm trying to remember which administration it was, and who controlled Congress when, that CDC was forbidden to study gun violence. Don't think any "Libs" were involved. It was called the Dickey Amendment. And "Libs" don't quake in fear of getting a "B+" grade from the NRA. Russkypack needs to confront Benny Johnson about his liberal indifference to gun crime in black neighborhoods. Wear your old football helmet and pads, though, and add one to your derriere.

sounds like thugs being thugs and the worthless mayor who closed two police precincts down and laid off about 1,000 cops. looks like the mayor is the biggest thug. I think the people of Chicago have had enough of him and his sanctuary city and will be kicking him out on his butt when his current term is up.

Foghorn says...

If I were Emanuel, I would assemble a phalanx of black commuity leaders as well as credible cops and issue an ultimatum: Communities experiencing the crime either ID the perps when it happens so cops can take them down or victims will be detained. Cops are doing nothing because victims refuse to name perps. Their hands are tied; they can’t be expected to solve the problem with zero cooperation from victims. If community leaders will not cooperate, then perhaps it’s time for the national guard.
