My favorite space: our Kitchen.

Why: I live with my husband and two teenage daughters in a 1925 craftsman bungalow built by Justin Matthews. We love our house and we live in every space. Of course, the kitchen is the most used room in our house as we love to entertain and I enjoy cooking. Over the years we have updated small things in the space, but never thought about a total remodel. We had the opportunity to totally gut the kitchen in the fall of 2016 and finally create the kitchen that really reflected the house and would function better for our family. My brother, who is an interior designer in Dallas, worked with us on function and special details to incorporate. Then, working with kitchen designer Rohn Muse, we pulled all of the elements together in this new space. We didn't change the footprint, but we did rearrange appliances and cabinets to make the most of the space. It actually feels bigger than the original kitchen. We could not be happier with the outcome, it exceeded our expectations!

If I could make one change to improve the space, I would: I am not sure I would change anything, but I can always use more storage space.
