Attorney general 'aggressively' looking into complaints after west Little Rock spa closes

The Arkansas attorney general’s office is “aggressively” looking into more than 20 complaints after the abrupt closure of a west Little Rock spa.

Indulgences by Body Bronze at 14524 Cantrell Road closed Monday, said Jessica Ray, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, in an emailed statement. She said Rutledge's office had received more than 200 calls and emails about the issue by Wednesday afternoon.

The spa’s website was also shut down. A Facebook page for the business listed reviews from upset former customers who had paid hundreds of dollars for unfulfilled packages and services.

The Better Business Bureau listing for Indulgences by Body Bronze showed that as of Monday, the business was “no longer operating.” It had been operational for 11 years.

“Consumers have reported that they have gone to the business for scheduled appointments… and the location is unoccupied,” a statement on the nonprofit organization’s website reads.

Arkansas residents who prepaid for services that will not be provided after the spa’s closure are asked to contact the attorney general’s office.
