Stabbed in scuffle with robbers, Little Rock man tells police

A 27-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his back while struggling with two robbers who demanded his wallet Tuesday afternoon in Little Rock, authorities said.

It happened about 4:40 p.m. in the 5900 block of Dreher Lane, which is near Arkansas State Police headquarters just south of Interstate 30 and Geyer Springs Road.

The victim told investigators he had been dropped off in the area and went to a nearby ATM when he was approached by two strangers who ordered him to turn over his wallet. A struggle ensued, during which one of the robbers pulled out a knife, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

At some point, the victim's wallet was taken, and he suffered a stab wound to his upper back, police wrote, noting that one of the robbers also fired a gun two times as the victim fled.

The victim was taken to CHI St. Vincent for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report. The two robbers were said to be males. One wore a red shirt with red Nike Air Force 1 shoes. No clothing description was listed for the other.
