John Hiatt and friends revisit 30-year-old album

Singer-songwriter John Hiatt with The Goners, featuring Sonny Landreth, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College's Center for Humanities and Arts in North Little Rock. Tickets range from $39 to $125.

Hiatt is marking the 30th anniversary of his Slow Turning album and will feature the musicians who played on the original recording. He will perform the music of that album and, in the second set, he will perform his greatest hits.

Landreth, from Lafayette, La., is known for his prowess on slide guitar and has performed or recorded with Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Little Feat, Gov't Mule and Jimmy Buffett.

Bree Ogden will host an album release party at 8 p.m. Saturday at Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Ogden, a young North Little Rock native and country music enthusiast, released her debut album, Untamed, in October.

Adam Faucett & the Tall Grass will perform at 9:30 p.m. Friday, at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

David Miller & Rock Town will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $6.

Miller, a former Little Rock resident now living in the Memphis area, was a member of the late 1970s and early 1980s band Gumbo, based in Colorado, which occasionally performed at White Water Tavern. He is marking the release of his second album, Southern Dreams, released in late 2017. His first CD, Just Flow, The Tribute Sessions, featured the music of the late Pat Hooper, a Little Rock resident and longtime friend of Miller's.

Mike Dillon's Pocket Consortium, featuring Jim Laughlin of the jam band moe will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Dillon's project premiered in January 2015 in New Orleans at a weekly residence and then went on to the city's Contemporary Arts Center, the Bayou Boogaloo Music Festival, the VooDoo Music and Arts Experience and the Music Box Village during the 2017 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Laughlin, who began his musical career as a bassist, now plays vibraphone in moe.

Monoculture will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.

Dance Monkey Dance, featuring Doug Dicharry, will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
