A central Arkansas man was arrested after calling authorities Thursday night to say his life was in danger and then pointing an "extended blade" at an officer who responded, police say.

According to a report from the North Little Rock Police Department, an officer went to the McDonald's located at 4000 E. McCain Blvd. shortly after 8 p.m. after a caller reported that he had smoked "ICE" and that people were trying to kill him.

The eatery's staff pointed at James Holloway, 57, when the officer arrived, the report noted.

When the officer approached the 57-year-old, he reportedly turned around with his hand in his pocket. When asked to remove his hand, Holloway pulled out "an extended blade" and pointed it directly at the officer, authorities said.

Holloway was then arrested on an aggravated assault charge, the report shows. Records show he remained at the Pulaski County jail Friday morning, and no bail had been set. His next court appearance is set for Tuesday.
